MEDIUM SYNOPSIS
The Wind Sighs tells the story of 80-year-old Lin Chui Jiao, who has
picked tea in China’s Fujian mountains since he was a boy.
The film shines a light on his years of hardship under Mao Zedong,
and the ongoing poverty of his own children who grew up in rural
China.
It shows how, driven by need, his sons take their tea business into the
city and slowly begin building their empire.
At heart, The Wind Sighs is a story of change and success in one of the
world’s oldest civilisations and greatest economies.
